We really do believe that we make the best rifle actions being made today!
Here is why.
The receiver is CNC machined from SAE 8620 plate. Castings are great if you can get good castings. small companies can’t afford good castings - big companies can’t afford hand craftsmanship. Every receiver is faced on a mandrel to insure that the barrel shoulder will engage the receiver uniformly. Parts art hand fitted shaped and polished so that the lines are straight and sharp and the joints are tight.
The breech block is also machined from 8620 bar stock. It is ground to oversize dimensions and then lapped into the breech block mortise in the receiver. The breech block face is ground perpendicular to the receiver barrel threads to less than 0.001 inches across a 5/8 inch circle.
The breech block mortise is cut using a CNC wire EDM so that the hole is true and precisely located.
The heat treat is true bone and charcoal pack hardening, not the cheaper Cyanide method. Pack hardening gives a deeper case and longer lasting color.
